Ram Kumar

Managing Partner

Ram is a seasoned investor with more than 18 years of professional experience. Prior to joining Real Assets, he was a senior member of the Energy & Infrastructure team at KKR. He joined KKR in April 2009 as one of the founding members of its newly created infrastructure team and was responsible for leading a number of its investments over the next 9 years in the EMEA region, primarily across the energy, utilities and transportation sectors.
Prior to joining KKR, Ram worked in Goldman Sachs for close to seven years. He started his career there in the mergers & acquisitions team, then moved to the leveraged & structured finance team and subsequently was one of the founding team members of Goldman Sachs’ global infrastructure investment platform.

He holds B.E. (Mechanical) and M.Sc. (Economics) degrees from BITS, Pilani (India), and an M.B.A. from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (India).

John Rowland

Partner

John has more than 14 years investment advisory and CFO experience across several sectors including Renewable Energy and Infrastructure. Prior to joining Real Assets, John ran his own advisory business focusing on Corporate Finance and M&A. Prior to that, John was an Investment Manager at a large Family Office where he help them invest over $500m in new Energy and Environmental Infrastructure investments and took on Board responsibilities across the portfolio of investments.
Prior to this John spent over 3 years managing high net worth equity portfolios for Custom House Capital where he also led investment research.

John has a First Class Honours degree in Electronic Engineering, Post-grad in Business Administration, holds the CFA designation and is a CIMA Qualified Accountant.

Tanguy Cotton

JV Partner - Placement Advisory

Tanguy is co-Founder and Managing Partner of Cotton Ginsberg Capital Partners. He maintains close relationships with key investors in the United Kingdom, France, Benelux, Denmark, Finland , Sweden, Switzerland and Southern Europe. Over his 21 years tenure in fundraising, Tanguy has worked on over 150 fundraises for private equity, infrastructure and real estate managers. Tanguy works with institutional investors that include public and corporate pensions, endowments, foundations, financial institutions, fund-of-funds and family offices. Tanguy is also very active in the origination, due diligence and advisory capacities of new mandates.

Brandon Ginsberg

JV Partner - Placement Advisory

Brandon is co-Founder and Managing Partner of Cotton Ginsberg Capital Partners. He has spent 24 years in Investment Banking, building and managing global client-focused equity businesses. Brandon spent 20 years in Japan, as Managing Director and Head of Japanese Equities at Citigroup, held the position of CEO of KBC Japan and finally spent 3 years as Managing Director, Head of Equities at Deutsche Bank, Tokyo, before building and running the European equity business at SMBC Nikko in London. One of the most experienced and longest serving investment banking senior managers in Japan, with extensive relationships with Japanese and Global Institutional Investors, Domestic and Global Alternative Managers, Brandon speaks fluent Japanese, and has managed and helped place some of the largest capital raises in the Japanese market.
